Just the other day, I stumbled upon a classic, yet modish donut shop in my neighborhood….Okay, I didn’t necessarily stumble upon it, but I did find the perfect moment to sit and enjoy the newly opened donut shop. I knew that I was onto something from the moment that I arrived at the property. The outside is surrounded with two sitting areas laced with gorgeous beds of flowers. Being a person that experiences things with all 5 of their senses, my morning was off to a sweet start. We were greeted by smiling faces and the scent of hand crafted confections. I looked over the menu and decided to go with the Fried Chicken Tacos, a side of Tots and a glazed donut. The Fried Chicken Tacos came with a generous portion of perfectly fried chicken. The coating was light, crispy and well-seasoned.

The chicken came topped with a homemade slaw, queso and I added pico de gallo. This was the best chicken taco I’ve had since one of my favorite taco spots closed down a few years ago. Who would’ve thought that I would find what I’ve been looking for all this time in a donut shop!? Interesting and delicious.

Their menu also offers other tacos with toppings such as bacon, eggs and even fish. After taking down two of the chicken tacos, there was little room for me to give a home to the beautiful donut that I purchased. It goes without saying that I could not resist tasting in a few bites. I can honestly say that the glazed donut from Campbell’s is thee best donut that I’ve had from a local donut shop. It tastes like the classic donut, but different. The texture of the treat reminded me of a cross between a croissant and a donut. The icing tasted like it had just been mixed, moments before my purchase. Super fresh and delicious. I often find icings to just give off an extra sugary sweetness, but lack flavor. This my friend, offered quite the contrary. The delectable icing paired perfectly with the airy donut.

The sweet, The savory, THE SERVICE. From start to finish, I enjoyed my visit at Campbell’s Craft donuts. I highly recommend that you stop by this pleasant corner shop when you’re in the neighborhood.
