An amazing Foundation is literally the foundation of a flawless makeup look. No Pun intended. Our skin types range from normal to dry, to oily, and everything in between. This helps us identify that choosing the right foundation can be a daunting task. From the wear of the foundation to selecting the right shade, there are many elements to consider when searching for the foundation that best fits you. With over a decade of field experience in this industry, I’ve had the pleasure of testing some of the most extravagant foundations. As well as those that…well, shall remain nameless. I’ve put together a list of my absolute favorite foundations ranging from Drugstore friendly to Pure Luxury. Let’s take a closer look below.

FIT ME MATTE + PORELESS FOUNDATION

I can easily categorize Maybelline’s FIT ME as a top “Go-to” foundation. This foundation provides a very light wear accompanied by medium coverage. The matte finish is never cakey or chalky. I would describe the finish as matte-natural. This is a great everyday foundation mainly because it does not weigh down the skin or clog pores. My kit contains at least 12 of these diverse shades. Available in 40 well balanced shades, this drug store favorite has easily become a classic in my book. This foundation is usually priced somewhere around $7.99.

Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation

Maybelline’s Superstay foundation is by far one of the most impressive Drugstore foundations that I have ever purchased. The coverage is FULL and the finish is matte and slightly dewy in my opinion. I knew that I would love this foundation after the first pump. Although Drugstore foundations have come a mighty long way, lets be honest… The formulas are normally pretty similar. Thin and a bit runny. Oh, but not Superstay! The formula is thick. In a good way! This foundation goes on smooth and blends effortlessly. I highly recommend adding this affordable jewel to your makeup bag. Available in 28 shades, this foundation usually retails between $8-$12 depending on the retailer.

*Pro Tip: With coverage this great, the multifaceted Superstay can also act as a concealer/highlighting shade

Luminous Silk Foundation

Armani Beauty’s Luminous Silk foundation is a lush treat where foundations are concerned. The silky formula blends and perfects skin like no other. Honestly, I usually forget that I’m even wearing foundation on days that I wear Luminous Silk. Although the foundation is medium, it is absolutely buildable and leaves skin with a silky-glowy finish. Luminous Silk is available in 30 well blended shades. This luxe foundation usually retails around $64.

ALL HOURS FOUNDATION

Last, but absolutely not least! Hands down my all time fav, YSL Beauty’s All Hours foundation. This jewel does not only provide flawless full coverage, but it lasts up to 24 hours! Of course the chances of you wearing your makeup for a full 24 hours is slim to none. However, this definitely secures a seamless perfected look throughout the entire day. Always! All Hours offers a silky matte-like finish that perfectly mirrors skin. All Hours retails at $54. A little goes a long way and this foundation is worth every penny!

I hope that reading through my favs was insightful and enjoyable for you! Maybe you’ll try one of these amazing formulas out if you haven’t already. Now I need to hear from you! Have you tried either of these foundations? What is your “go-to” foundation? Let me know down below. As always, Thank You for Reading ! -Ne
