- Turkey Sausage (or protein of your choice)
- 1 (12) oz bag frozen Okra,
- 1 (14.5) oz can Tomatoes
- 1 (12oz) bag Riced Cauliflower
- Yellow onion
- Onion powder
- Garlic/Garlic powder
- Creole seasoning
- 2 cups of chicken broth
In a small fry pan, sauté the sliced sausage. Add oil if necessary. Brown sausage until the desired finish is achieved. In a large pot, combine okra, tomatoes and season.
Once combined, cook over low to medium heat for 35 minutes. Shift the cooked sausage from pan to pot. Be sure to remove any excess oil.
Once the sausage is added to the pot, allow the mixture to simmer for an additional 20 minutes.
*Tip: Be sure to stir the okra often as it cooks. There should be no “slime” left when your meal is complete.
Serve over cauliflower rice! I added fried onions and pepper to my “rice”. (Totally optional)
