“You can’t compete where you don’t compare” can sometimes be frowned upon as arrogant, depending on the context that it is used in. For me, I digested this phrase a bit differently. It brought me to occurrences in my life where “Friends” or Foes have found themselves envious of achievements or milestones in my life and at the time, all I could really think was “This isn’t even your thing!!!” Some of us learn it early on, while others accept this truth later or worse…NEVER. Staying in your lane and being focused on your goals is so important because it’s very easy to lose sight of your true goals and dreams when keeping score of what the next person is doing. We are all born with gifts and talents and most importantly a spectacular purpose. Don’t miss your success in the genre that houses your passion by submitting to what others THINK you should be doing or by what is popular/trending. Remember that your gifts are just that… YOURS. No one can take them away from you. People’s comparisons and opinions have no true value, because what God has for you… IT IS FOR YOU and no one else. Many of us know this, but forget this golden key when comparison takes the stage. Protect your gifts and invest in them. The profit will exceed your expectations, Quote me on that. Be Inspired. Many Blessings…
